Are you worried or embarrassed about wearing sandals or flip-flops in public due to cracked, dry feet? Our feet are the most neglected part of the body, well that is in my case. One of the main issues of our feet is dry skin, cracked heels, and callouses. We may not all have the luxury of time and money for a trip to the salon for a pedicure and foot spa. Thus, I have searched the web for any effective ways “how to remove dry skin from your feet” and here are some easy and economical steps:

  • Soak your feet in warm water, and white/apple cider vinegar – apple cider vinegar (or ACV) is an amazing product that you can find in your cupboard. Vinegar softens the dry skin on your feet and not only that, it helps to get rid of smelly feet and toenail fungus, this home remedy battles more than just one foot issues. Soak your feet in a solution with a ratio of 1:1 for about 30 – 45 minutes. Pat it dry and carefully brush off any excess skin with a pumice stone or foot brush (some people use sandpaper) and then rinse with water and then, pat dry. Do this once or twice a week depending on the case.

Other alternatives are using lemon as a foot soak instead of vinegar. Its natural acid breaks down the dry skin and just like the vinegar; it also keeps your feet from smelling; Oatmeal as a natural foot scrub; and in my case, since I live near the beach and is quite easy to have a day out, I like to exfoliate my feet with sand.
